Welkom op www.politicologie.be, de website van de Vereniging voor Politieke Wetenschappen. De VPW staat open voor al wie belangstelling heeft voor de politicologie.
De VPW geeft het tijdschrift Res Publica uit en organiseert samen met de Nederlandse Kring voor de Wetenschap der Politiek jaarlijks het Belgisch-Nederlands Politicologenetmaal. De Belgisch-Nederlandse editie 2013 vindt plaats in Gent, in 2014 vindt het Etmaal plaats in Maastricht, op de grens tussen België en Nederland. Leden van de VPW genieten een aanzienlijke korting op zowel Res Publica als deelname aan het Etmaal. Meer informatie daarover in het menu "word lid".
Binnen de VPW bestaan er vier thematische werkgroepen waar onderzoekers die werken rond verwante thema’s elkaar regelmatig kunnen ontmoeten om informatie en resultaten uit te wisselen. In deze werkgroepen worden ook activiteiten georganiseerd, zoals lezingen, masterclasses, en workshops.
Het bestuur van de VPW bestaat uit Kris Deschouwer (voorzitter), Didier Caluwaerts (secretaris), Marc Hooghe (penningmeester), Joop van Holsteyn (hoodredacteur Res Publica) Eline Severs en Bram Wauters.
Welcome to politicologie.be, the website of the Belgian Vereniging voor Politieke Wetenschappen (Political Science Association). The VPW is the Dutch-speaking political science association of Belgium. It welcomes all people interested in political science. Belgium also has a Francophone Political Science Association (ABSP) with whom we actively collaborate.
The VPW published the journal Res Publica. That is the political science review of the Low Countries. Together with the Dutch Political Science Association (NKWP) the VPW organizes yearly the Politicologenetmaal (24 hours of political science). Members of the VPW can subscribe to Res Publica at a reduced price and can also subscribe at a lower price to Acta Politica, the journal of the NKWP.
The VPW has four thematic groups. These are meant to allow researchers to exchange information and research results. The thematic groups organize a variety of activities, like conferences, lectures, seminars and master classes.
